Tuesday Teacher Spotlight!

This week we have Ms. Canty and Ms. Mansfield

Ms. Canty teaches social studies. This is her 2nd year teaching, she loves chocolate, and her best advice is to keep (and hide) snacks.

Ms. Mansfield teaches CTE. This is her 1st year teaching, she loves reading, and her best advice is to always have a snack.

Make sure to give these teachers a fist bump when you see them!

This week is Bus Driver & Assistant Appreciation Week!

This week, we’re celebrating our amazing bus drivers and bus assistants!

They are often the first and last faces our students see each day, and they work hard to make sure every student gets to and from school safely. Through all kinds of weather, they show patience, kindness, and dedication.

Our drivers and assistants do more than provide transportation. They build relationships, create a positive start and end to the day, and truly care about our students.

Please join us in thanking them for all they do. We appreciate you!

Our Bus Drivers and Bus Assistants Are The Best! THANK YOU
Congratulations goes to our very own Charly. She recently received a Superintendent award for the positive impact she has on our community. Charly is truly one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She is thoughtful and sincerely brings joy to everyone she is around. Charly can often be found sharing trinkets, bracelets, and other tokens of appreciation with the adults in the building. The simple gestures are a reflection of her big heart. Charly is a part of our Hope Squad where she spends her time sharing her ideas about activities that can include all students. She's always willing to pitch in and help regardless of what is asked. In the classroom, Charly is always prepared, supportive of the success of her peers, helpful to her teachers, and attentive to her own academics. All of Charly’s teachers agree that she is genuine and sincerely makes a difference in every classroom. Thank you, Charly, for the positivity you bring to our community. We are so grateful for you.

Our peer tutors do such an amazing job supporting students in class, but it doesn’t stop there.
They’re the ones saying hi in the halls, checking in at lunch, and making sure every student feels like they belong.

And sometimes… it even comes with a secret handshake
Shoutout to Owen and Jacob for keeping things fun while building an awesome sense of community!

Today we’re celebrating the incredible people who keep everything running behind the scenes—our amazing secretarial staff! 🎉

From answering phones and helping students, to keeping things organized and supporting staff all day long, they truly do it all. Our main office is often the first place people turn, and these ladies make sure everyone feels welcomed, helped, and taken care of.

Their hard work, patience, and positive attitudes don’t go unnoticed. Central Davis simply wouldn’t run without them!

Happy Administrative Professionals Day! We are so grateful for everything you do for our students, staff, and families. 💙

As part of their capstone project on water conservation, our Earth Science students took a field trip to Antelope Island, where they collected data through hands-on field observations. This experience allowed students to connect what they’ve learned in class to the real world and deepen their understanding of Earth systems.

Our Biology students also had the opportunity to explore the unique ecosystem of the Great Salt Lake, gaining firsthand insight into this one-of-a-kind environment.

We are so grateful for the continued support from our community in helping make meaningful, real-world learning experiences possible for our students.

Mrs. Edwards’ class had the amazing opportunity to go backstage at the Hale Centre Theatre. Students were able to see behind the scenes of this incredible theater and learn more about the work that goes into creating the performances audiences enjoy. From the stage to the technical areas, it was an exciting experience to see how everything comes together.

What an amazing place and a fun learning opportunity for our students!
