Month of April - Purple Fridays
April is designated as the Month of the Military Child, a time to honor the resilience and sacrifices of our military families. Purple was chosen as the official color for this month because it symbolizes the blending of all branches of the military, represented by the colors of each branch’s uniform. Purple combines the red of the Army, the blue of the Navy and Air Force, and the yellow of the Marines, creating a unique color that signifies unity and support for these children.
By wearing purple, we show solidarity and appreciation for the strength and courage of our military families within our community.
