My name is Rebecca Beckstead. I have four children. I come from a family of ten children. I graduated form BYU in Family Studies and then I served a mission in Tokyo, Japan. After serving a mission, I decided that I would like to teach school. I went back to school at Utah State University and graduated in Elementary Education. During the summers, since I was single until I was 36, I decided that I would travel. I was able to visit many countries in South America, Asia and Europe. I look forward to sharing the many items that I have collected throughout the years.
When I was 36, I married a college professor, Steve Beckstead. I was blessed to quickly have four children within five years. I quit teaching so that I could stay home to raise my children. When my youngest child went back to first grade, I went back to teaching. I have two dogs (a bernese mountain dog and a mutt). I also have a lizard and a few pet rats. I have taught a total of 21 years. My favorite grade to teach is third grade. I love teaching school at Columbia Elementary School!
